GREENWICH, Conn. – In a new report, Movoto has named Greenwich as the second safest place to in Connecticut.
In 2012, Greenwich had only 595 property crimes per 100,000 residents, including 36 vehicle thefts, 486 thefts, and 73 burglaries; 37 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, including 24 assaults, 10 robberies, three rapes and no murders. Darien ranked No. 1 and the City of Groton came in at No. 10, according to the report.
In Fairfield County towns included on the list, Westport came in at No. 3.
