Greenwich May Head To Court After Rejecting Settlement In Lawsuit
GREENWICH, Conn. -- The town of Greenwich may be headed to court after rejecting a settlement with onetime U.S. Senate candidate Lee Whitnum, who claimed her civil rights were violated when a celebration of Israel's independence and a bar mitzvah were held at Town Hall, according to greenwichtime.com.
Whitnum filed the suit in 2012 but offered to settle it for $11,000. The town refused the settlement after a meeting with town counsel, greenwichtime.com reported.
