Greenwich Laborer Accused in Car Theft

A Riverside homeowner’s car was stolen Thursday by a day laborer hired by the homeowner’s landscaper, police reported. The laborer, known to the landscaper as Joe Johnson, drove away in the owner’s 2006 Black GMC Yukon, police said. Johnson was described as a white, approximately 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, with blond hair and acne.

? A 17-year-old Greenwich boy was arrested on a warrant last week after police were told he had illegal drugs and contraband in his bedroom. He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of a hallucinogen, possession of an amphetamine, possession of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The teen was released on a promise to appear in court on June 8.
