GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Green and Clean is Sponsoring a paper shredding day at the Island Beach parking lot across from the ferry dock on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Those looking to destroy secure documents can do so in exchange for a can of tuna or fruit for each box of documents. Without donation, each box will cost $1.
Sensitive documents that can be shredded include:
- Financial and credit card statements
- Old legal, tax, estate documents
- Old medical records
- Old Social Security records
All metal and plastic covers, clips and bindings must be removed. Staples can be left in.
