Greenwich Girls Get a Place To Sort Things Out

GREENWICH, Conn. – Life as a preteen girl is not always easy, and now a new Greenwich discussion group wants to help make sense of the stress adolescent girls face.

Family Centers of Greenwich has created the group called “You Go, Girl,” facilitated by Family Centers’ social worker Myra Marcus, to offer girls a safe, confidential place where they can talk about their feelings and conflicts with peers, parents and others.

The group will also help the girls balance academic, extracurricular and social demands while also creating and maintaining supportive relationships with other preteens.

The group will meet every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Family Centers’ Greenwich offices, 20 Bridge St.

For more information or to register, contact Myra Marcus, LCSW, PhD, at 203-629-2822, ext. 3111 or by email.
