Anna and her husband, Carmine, had been baby-sitting the boy. Carmine left at 9 a.m. and returned at 10:30 a.m. to find his wife and grandson unresponsive in the koi pond.

The woman and child were rushed to Greenwich Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The Greenwich Police Department has a few details to finalize, but expects the investigation to conclude soon, said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the department.
