Greenwich Couple Arrested After Fight

A Greenwich couple was arrested Wednesday after a verbal argument escalated into violence. The woman, who police was intoxicated, told police that her boyfriend hit her in the face with his fist, violently grabbed her arm and threatened to kill her. The woman had a black eye and bruising on her left cheekbone. The man told police she had scratched his arms with her fingernails. The woman was issued a misdemeanor summons on the charge of disorderly conduct. The man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening. Both were released on a promise to appear in court Thursday.

• Stacey A. Wren, 39, was arrested by warrant Wednesday on charges of second-degree failure to appear in court. Wren was pulled over by Greenwich police for allegedly operating an unregistered motor vehicle, when she was found to have a warrant out for her arrest by the Stamford Police Department from June. She was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court March 9. 

• A Greenwich High School student was issued a juvenile summons on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after high school staff allegedly found a small amount of marijuana in his backpack. The teen was arrested and admitted to smoking pot on school grounds, police said. The teen was released to a parent and is due in court March 22.

• A Greenwich High School student was issued a juvenile summons on charges of possession of tobacco by a minor after allegedly being found with cigarettes by high school staff. He was released to a parent and is due in court March 22.
