Greenwich Cops Bust Skateboarding Teens

Two Greenwich teens were issued juvenile summons for trespassing Sunday after officers found them and one other teen skateboarding in the Greenwich Office Park area. One of the teens said all three gained access to the garage through an open door even though they knew they did not have permission to be within the garage. Two teens were issued juvenile summons on the charge of simple trespass and are due in court Jan. 4.

Also from the police blotter:

• James Dadio, 41, of 50 Alvord Lane, Stamford was arrested in Greenwich on Thursday on charges of driving under the influence. Dadio was stopped on Davis Avenue after an officer's License Plate Reader alerted that a passing car's registration was under suspension. When stopped, Dadio smelled like alcohol and had red, glassy eyes as well as slurred speech. He failed field sobriety tests, and his car registration as well as driver's license were found to be suspended. Dadio was arrested on charges of DUI, operating under suspension, no insurance, failure to return suspended operator license and failure to carry insurance card. He was released on $250 bond and is due to appear in court Jan. 13.

• A Greenwich teen turned himself in to the Greenwich Police Department on Monday on an active warrant stemming from a car accident. The warrant charged the teen with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle without a license and unsafe movement. He was released on $250 bond.
