Greenwich Agency Named a Top Conn. Workplace

GREENWICH, Conn. – Family Centers of Greenwich was recently named one of Western Connecticut’s “Top Workplaces,” based on the results of an independent employee survey sponsored by Hearst Media Services.

“Ensuring our organization is a place where employees feel valued, challenged and rewarded for their work has always been a priority,” said Family Centers’ President Bob Arnold. “The fact that we were listed a ‘Top Workplace’ is a testament to the dedication of the 200 employees who make Family Centers a trusted community resource.”

Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County.

Nearly 700 companies throughout Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield counties were invited to participate in the 2011 survey, which was conducted by the independent consulting firm Workplace Dynamics LLC. Only 35 were selected as “Top Workplaces.” Family Centers ranked in the top 10 among all mid-sized (120-270 employees) companies surveyed.  

The 24-question survey asked employees to assess the organization’s values and leaders; how the organization communicates its goals; opportunities for training and progression; assessment of the workplace atmosphere and environment; quality of management; and pay and benefits.

In addition to making the “Top Workplaces 2011” list, Family Centers was also named the winner of the survey’s Training Award for outstanding career development and training practices.
