Fugitive Arrested at Greenwich Hospital

A Greenwich fugitive was arrested at Greenwich Hospital last week after police received an anonymous tip. Kastriot Djema, 19, of 28 Columbus Ave., was wanted by Westchester County Police on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Djema had fled the Westchester County Superior Court House during a proceeding, police said. He was arrested on a charge of fugitive from justice. He was held on $1 million bond and is due in court Thursday.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• A 31-year-old New Jersey man was arrested Sunday on charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. He was reportedly drunk and tried to lure his Greenwich girlfriend’s 19-year-old son into a fight. He also scuffled with officers while he was patted down, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in court June 6.

• Ron Gafni, 49, of 17 Nottingham Way, Mahopac, N.Y., was charged with breach of peace Sunday after allegedly head-butting another man in the nose during an argument at the New Country Volkswagen dealership. He was released on a misdemeanor summons and is due in court June 6.
