GREENWICH, Conn. Frank Bohacs, a former Greenwich resident, died at his home in Florida on Jan. 15. He was 95.
Bohacs was born in Greenwich on Nov. 12, 1916, to Barbara (Dudas) and Joseph Bohacs. He grew up in Greenwich, but always wanted to live in Florida. Following World War II, he went to Florida to get the lay of the land.
Bohacs returned to Greenwich and stayed until his retirement from Manero Restaurant. He was an avid golfer and was a Connecticut medalist two years in a row in the late 1950s. He was a member of the Jupiter Golf Club at Indian Creek.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughters June Thiebeault and Kathleen Reda; stepchildren Fran Murphy, Kathy Evans, Ruth Hagman and Terry Murphy; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and his brother, Julius, also of Greenwich.
Family and friends gathered for a mass of Christian burial on Friday morning at St. Marys Church in Greenwich.
