GREENWICH, Conn. Four Port Chester teens were charged Thursday in an early morning robbery in Byram in which a man was pushed to the ground and struck on the head.
Police received a call at 4 a.m. from the man who said he had been attacked and that his wallet and other personal items were stolen.
Police canvassed the area and found four teens walking along West Putnam Avenue. Police said two of the youths had property belonging to the victim in their possession. They were all taken into custody.
Further investigation resulted in additional changes against the four involving thefts from several unlocked cars in Byram.
Joey Rodriguez, 18, of 70 Purdy Ave., Port Chester, two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old were charged with robbery, burglary, assault, larceny and conspiracy.
One of the 17-year-olds was also charged with possession of narcotics, and the 16-year-old was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The four were being held on $10,000 bonds. Rodriguez is due in court Feb. 2. Both 17-year-olds are due in court Feb. 1. The 16-year-old was released into the custody of his parents and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.
