Greenwich's Khan Named Director Of Programs At Food Bank For Westchester

In her new role, Khan is responsible for overseeing the Food Bank’s diverse range of programs that, last year alone, facilitated the distribution of 7.2 million pounds of food — providing 6 million meals to families, senior citizens and children across the county.

Khan will serve as a key liaison between the Food Bank and its partner agency network, charged with maintaining the collaborative relationships already established and pioneering new partnerships.

Khan recently relocated to Westchester County from California, where she worked for the past six years developing, delivering and evaluating service programs.  As the director of senior resources for the Episcopal Senior Communities Foundation, Khan developed a new database and intake tracking software to measure participation levels and the social impact and effectiveness of programs.

Prior to that, Khan served as regional manager of Program Access, managing 26 family resource centers and 17 service coordinators for an agency that serves eight counties in Northern California.

During her tenure at Program Access, Khan successfully networked with community service agencies, schools and other providers to expand existing programs and create new ones; she collaborated with local colleges and universities to enlist interns and volunteers; and was responsible for the development, management and evaluation of programs and services offered to children, families and seniors living in affordable housing projects in Oakland, Calif.
