A Greenwich man was arrested Sunday after a verbal disagreement with family members escalated into violence. Police responded to a report of an assault in progress threat, where the man had assaulted an adult female and male youth in the presence of an 11-month-old baby. He also attempted to prevent one of the victim's from calling 911 during the assault. Police arrested the man, who was reportedly defiant and resistant, on charges of second-degree assault, 911 call interfering, disorderly conduct, risk of injury to a minor and interfering with an officer. He was held on $10,000 bond and was due in court Monday.

Keith Turco, 50 of 626 Milton Road, Rye, N.Y. was arrested in the parking lot of Sacred Heart Church on DWI charges after he was found unresponsive in his car. Police determined Turco did not have a medical problem but was intoxicated when he was found in the driver's seat of his car with the ignition on. He failed field sobriety tests, and Breathalyzer tests revealed he had a blood alcohol level of 0.213. He posted a $250 bond and is to appear in court Nov. 29.
Kristina Marie Giordano, 31 of 36 Old Camp Lane, Cos Cob, was arrested Sunday on charges of sixth-degree larceny at Whole Foods in Greenwich. Store employees detained Giordano after she was found in possession of grocery items she had not paid for. She was released on a promise to appear in court Nov. 29.
