Entrepreneurial Talk By Winklevoss Twins Tops Greenwich News This Week

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A talk by Greenwich natives Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss topped the news in town this week, with the millionaire twins handing out business advice and dishing about their time in the limelight before dozens of Greenwich businesspeople.

The twins turned down "The Bachelor" and "Dancing With The Stars" to focus on business. They shared their success story Thursday as part of an invite-only lecture series entitled, "Inside the Entrepreneurial Mind." They discussed their lives since they were portrayed in the film "The Social Network" (and since their association with Facebook) and their current involvement in companies such as Hukkster and Bitcoin.

In other top news in Greenwich, an elderly Greenwich couple fell victim to a scam as three people stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry in the middle of the day from their home by posing as "water company" employees, Greenwich police said.

Greenwich Academy will bring in a star: The private girls school announced that Julie Bowen, the Emmy-winning star of "Modern Family," will give this year's commencement address. 

Green and Tonic, a vegan-friendly lunch hotspot in Greenwich and Darien, grows faster than the vegetables it sells in its salads and wraps. Owners Cai and Jeff Pandolfino just opened a downtown Greenwich location to join the other outlets in Darien and Cos Cob. The chain has grown in just over the span of a year.

Greenwich’s Will McHale has been invited to the New Orleans Saints mini-camp from May 10 to 12. McHale, a linebacker, led Yale with 78 tackles and started every game for the team last season. He was elected team captain.
