Emily Kovacik, Worked for Greenwich, Schools

Emily Kovacik, a former Greenwich resident, died Dec. 2 at Hilton Head Regional Hospital in Hilton Head Island, S.C. She was 85.

Kovacik graduated from Greenwich High School and worked for the Putnam Trust Co. and for the town of Greenwich. She also worked part time at North Street and Parkway Schools. During the summer, Kovacik enjoyed spending time at Tod's Point. She and her husband, Joseph, retired to Apharetta, Ga., in 1994.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph; daughter Lynn Evans; and three grandchildren and a great-grandson. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
