Longtime Riverside resident Eleanor M. Steen died on Tuesday, Jan. 18. She was 98 years old. Steen was born in Hoboken, N.J., on June 5, 1912.
She had been a volunteer at Greenwich Hospital and served as treasurer of the auxiliary. Steen also volunteered at the Hill House. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bridge and golf. She also enjoyed traveling.
Steen is survived by her children, Leona S. Clifford and Alan R. Steen; four stepchildren, Thomas A. Steen, Mary Jane Frazier, Nanetta DiNardo and Clarita Kennedy; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass is scheduled for Jan. 22 at noon at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial will be private. Memorial donations can be made to Hill House.
