Greenwich Prepares To Change Clocks As Daylight-Saving Time Ends

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn -- Daylight-saving time is much easier with electronic devices that automatically reset, however Fairfield County residents must remember to set back all old-fashioned clocks late Saturday night or first thing on Sunday morning.

Don't forget to change clocks back an hour for the end of Daylight-Savings Time.

At 2 a.m. Sunday, daylight-saving time ends and clocks should be set one hour backward. In fall, everyone gets an extra hour for sleep or for whatever you want.

Daylight-saving time is observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, adding about a month of longer days.

Fire departments remind residents that this is a good time to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and change their batteries. Consumers should test each smoke alarm in their home every month to make sure it is working properly and change batteries at least once a year.
