Concetta Gambino, Worked as Seamstress

Former Greenwich resident Concetta Gambino died at Greenwich Hospital on Nov. 16 at the age of 97.

Gambino was born in Salem, Mass., and had also lived in Stamford, Norwalk and Darien. She worked for a number of years at a seamstress. During her free time, she loved dancing with her late husband, Carmine, and walking along the beach.

She is survived by her children, Leonard Gambino, Jennie Vagone and Josephine Creigh; sister, Jennie Gambino; and nine grandsons and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary Church in Norwalk. Burial followed at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan.
