Car Crash Ends in Drug Charge for Cos Cob Teen

A Cos Cob teen was arrested Saturday after his car struck a fence and he left the scene of the accident, according to police reports. He was also charged with marijuana possession. Police identified the teen as Nathan Thomlinson Kimball, 19, of 5 Mead Ave. They said the front grill of his Toyota Carolla was left in front of a house on Sinawoy Road. They found the car a quarter of a mile away with a clear plastic baggie of marijuana in the backseat. The car was registered to Kimball's father, who told his son police were looking for him. Kimball told officers he lost control of the car and struck the fence. He said he panicked and left the scene for a friend's house. He also said he was unaware of the marijuana in the car. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana under four ounces, evading responsibility and unsafe movement. He was released on a $250 bond and is due in court on Dec. 27.

? Debra Ann Koziel of 16 Nurey St., Stamford, turned herself in on a warrant charging her with an assault on the elderly. She posted a $250 bond and is due in court on Dec. 27.

? Manolo Torres, 45, of 28 Goodwin St., Stamford, was arrested Friday on DUI charges after police saw his vehicle swerving on Delavan Ave. When Torres was stopped his eyes were red and glassy and his speech  slurred. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and failure to drive right. He was released on a $250 bond and is due in court on Dec. 31.
