Bridge Work Continues On I-684 In Greenwich, Impacts Traffic In NY

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A bridge maintenance project along I-684 northbound in Greenwich will begin Monday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced on its website. 

The project consists of bridge deck and concrete repairs to the I-684 northbound bridge over the Byram River in Greenwich.

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-684 northbound between Exit 2 and Exit 3 in Greenwich. Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

This project is scheduled to continue until the afternoon of Friday, June 28.

This project is included in the DOT’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs. Mohawk Northeast is doing the work.

The scheduled could be modified or extended due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
