Boyfriend Charged With Choking

A Greenwich man has been charged with choking and pushing his girlfriend in front of their child. Police said the woman came forward on Wednesday, accompanied by her brother in law, to report the incident in their apartment on Seitz Lane. She said she had been having a verbal fight with her boyfriend on Monday when he choked and pushed her. She was to afraid to report the attack until family members persuaded her. Her boyfriend was arrested at their apartment on charges of strangulation in the second degree, assault in the third degree and risk of injury. He was being held on a $5,000 bond and was due to appear in court on Thursday.

? A Riversville Road man was arrested Wednesday after his ex-girlfriend reported he had threatened her with a hammer. The woman said they were having an argument when her boyfriend slapped her in the face and threatened to hit her with a hammer. The man received a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree. He was due in court on Thursday.

? Charles Green, 50, of 419 Franklin St. in Port Chester was arrested Friday after he snuck into Greenwich Hospital to visit his wife, who had a no contact protection order against him. Green had snuck into a private area of the hospital and would not leave when staff and security told him to. He was charged with violation of a protective order and criminal trespass in the second degree. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 27.
