Blizzard-like snow could produce white-out conditions, making driving treacherous. Eighteen inches to two feet of snow are predicted for parts of Fairfield County, along with coastal flooding.
The National Weather Service's blizzard warning starts at 6 a.m. Friday and continues until 1 p.m. Saturday. The strongest wind and heaviest snowfall should come Friday night at Saturday morning.
The wind will likely bring down trees, making for a strong possibility of power outages.
