FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Heavy snow and strong wind are predicted for Friday and into Saturday, with the forecast for the areas of heaviest snowfall moving a bit southwest now, according to the National Weather Service.

Blizzard-like snow could produce white-out conditions, making driving treacherous. Eighteen inches to two feet of snow are predicted for parts of Fairfield County, along with coastal flooding.

The National Weather Service's blizzard warning starts at 6 a.m. Friday and continues until 1 p.m. Saturday. The strongest wind and heaviest snowfall should come Friday night at Saturday morning.

The wind will likely bring down trees, making for a strong possibility of power outages.

How many more times are we going to have to endure these racist comments from Jim T. As a black Muslim I find his racist insults completely unexceptionable.
