Democratic Representative Town Meeting member John Blankley formally announced his candidacy for Greenwich first selectman Monday night.
Blankley, treasurer of the Democratic Town Committee, made it official in an announcement at Town Hall. First Selectman Peter Tesei has not yet announced whether he will seek re-election.
Blankley will be vying for the nomination with Selectman Drew Marzullo. The two will seek their partys nod at the Democratic Town Committees convention on May 11.
