Arrested Woman Provided Fake IDs

A woman who was a passenger in a stolen car was arrested on charges of interfering with an officer when she provided fake identities to Greenwich police Wednesday. Robin Anne Dematteo, 46, of 50 Hillandale Ave., Stamford, was removed from the stolen car and gave officers four different names and birthdates when identifying herself. At the station, Dematteo provided her correct identity. Upon further investigation, police found several failure to appear warrants for her and learned she had an extensive drug history. She was held on a $1,000 bond and is to appear in court Oct. 6.

Also from the police blotter:

• Frederick T. Bernadel, 36, of 82 Winfield St., Norwalk, was arrested on two larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia charges after police found he had been driving a stolen car. Bernadel was stopped for a taillight violation and told police he did not have his license in his possession. A check of the vehicle records showed the plates on the Toyota Corolla he was driving did not match records. After his arrest, Bernadel was found to have a glass pipe used to smoke narcotics in his pocket. Bernadel was held on $10,000 bond and is to appear in court Oct. 6.

• Brian Saavedra, 21, of 143 Rectory St., Port Chester, N.Y., was arrested after a failure to appear in court warrant was issued. Saavedra was held on $15,000 bond and is to appear in court Oct. 7.
