Aquarion Begins Cleaning Project On Greenwich Water Mains

GREENWICH, Conn. – Aquarion Water Co. will be cleaning water mains throughout Greenwich starting Monday, April 13, through Friday, June 19.

Water main cleanings will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. under the following schedule:

Week of April 13, Cos Cob, Riverside, west of Lake Avenue
Week of April 20, Cos Cob, Riverside, west of Lake Avenue
Week of April 27, Riverside, Old Greenwich, southwest Greenwich
Week of May 4, Riverside, Old Greenwich, southwest Greenwich
Week of May 11, Riverside, Cos Cob, southwest Greenwich
Week of May 25, east Greenwich, central Greenwich
Week of June 1, west of Lake Avenue, southwest Greenwich
Week of June 8, west of Lake Avenue, southwest Greenwich

The week of June 15, water main cleaning of high traffic areas in Greenwich will occur during the overnight hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Discoloration of water and reduced water pressure are common but temporary disturbances during water main cleaning.

Aquarion advises customers to avoid washing clothes when the water is discolored, and also to store water in their refrigerators for drinking and cooking.?
