FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The latest storm headed toward the East Coast is expected to impact areas south of New York City, which is good news for winter-weary Fairfield County residents.

But no snow is expected to fall as far north as Fairfield County, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will remain cold with an overnight low in the mid-teens across Fairfield County.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures not expected to break the freezing mark for St. Patrick's Day, which is 10 to 15 degrees normal for southern Connecticut in mid-March.

It will be sunny on Tuesday with a high in the mid-30s and an overnight low dropping to nearly 20 degrees.

There is a chance of rain Wednesday afternoon with a high in the low 40s. It will become increasingly cloudy with rain likely by evening and a low temperature near 35 degrees.
