Anne Perlin, Longtime Art Teacher

Anne B. Perlin of Greenwich, formerly of Milltown, N.J., died at Greenwich Hospital on March 14.

Perlin was born in Jersey City, N.J. She attended St. Paul's Elementary School and went on to Jersey City State Teachers College. She spent most of her career teaching art at James Madison School in Edison, N.J. After retirement, she taught at Rutgers University. Her class, "Drawing With the Right Side of Your Brain," was a student favorite. Perlin enjoyed art, theater and opera. She also liked to hunt around tag sales. She was a member of the Democratic Town Committee and a founding member of Pride in Milltown Day.

She is survived by her brother, Bill, nieces, two grandnieces and a grandnephew. A memorial service will be held at The Crabiel Home for Funerals in Milltown in late spring. Memorial donations can be made to The Nathaniel Witherell Patient Trust Fund, 70 Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT 06830.
