Lifelong Cos Cob resident Angelina C. Gauruder died of cancer on Feb. 25. She was 84 years old.
Gauruder grew up one of five children in Greenwich. She had worked as a cook for Greenwich public schools. Gauruder was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Gauruder, Carolee Guasco, Linda Charette and AnnMarie Anderson; sisters Rosina Searles and Julia Gauruder and six grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich on Tuesday, March 1, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass will be held Wednesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897.
