Alleged Greenwich Credit Card Crime Yields Arrest

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 32-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y., man was arrested on a warrant from the Kings County Court after an investigation into an alleged credit card crime reported at the CVS Pharmacy in Riverside in June 2010.

Raphael Brereton, of 17 17th St. Apt. #3C, was charged with larceny, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card, identity theft, trafficking in personal identifying information, forgery, forgery of symbols of value and unauthorized production or reproduction of credit card.

He was held on $1,000 bond and was due in court Thursday.

Fake Rx: A 25-year-old Greenwich woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday on charges she allegedly made fraudulent purchases of prescription drugs at Grannick’s Pharmacy, police said.

Jessica Riddle, 42 Hartford Ave., was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, illegal possession, forgery, conspiracy, and criminal attempt. She was released on a promise to appear in court May 30.
