Donner and the orchestra are celebrating 25 years at the Harvest Moon Gala for Greenwich Hospital on Saturday, according to a news release.

"From providing the entertainment at the biggest socials at charity events in Greenwich and Manhattan, to singing for brides and grooms at high-profile weddings across the country, Alex Donner has built a reputation that spans the globe," representatives said in the release. "Now Alex Donner (a Garrison, N,Y. native), who grew up spending his weekends in Greenwich and who recently performed last month at the post funeral event at the estate of automobile mogul Malcolm S. Pray on Sept. 21 will entertain guests at The Harvest Moon Gala for Greenwich Hospital on Oct. 19."

Donner said in the release that he has been musically active for a long time.

“My father took me to local jazz clubs as a kid," Donner said. Donner never let go of music as he grew older, even after becoming a matrimonial lawyer. “I was doing divorces during the week as a lawyer and playing weddings on the weekends with the band.”

While working at a law firm, Studio 54 signed Donner on as a client, according to the release.

“Whenever there was live music to be played there I got the call because they knew me and the owner, Steve Rubell, knew I loved to perform," Donner said in the release.
