Greenwich resident Albert F. Lefebvre died March 5. He was 70 years old.
Lefebvre grew up in Springfield, Mass., and received a masters in business from the University of Massachusetts. He worked in the life insurance and financial planning industry, at Penn Mutual for over 30 years and at Met Life for seven years. He received numerous awards, such as Top of the Table in the Million Dollar Round Table, an honor given to the top 1,000 performers in the life insurance industry.
Lefebvre gave his time to a number of organizations in town. He served as president of the St. Catherine's Parish Council and on the board at the Burning Tree Country Club. His favorite leisure activities were golf and hitting the slopes in Okemo, Vt., where he had a home.
He is survived by five children, Peter Lefebvre, Antoinette Cowles, Elizabeth Cleary, Jonathan Lefebvre and Christina Lefebvre; two sisters, Lorraine and Doris, and three grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church on March 9. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
