GREENWICH, Conn. Adam J. Novak of Riverside died Sunday at Greenwich Hospital. He was 92 years old.
Novak was born in Port Chester, N.Y., on Sept. 20, 1919. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was also past chief of the Sound Beach Fire Police, and an usher for over 50 years at St. Catherines Church.
His wife, Blanche, died in 2006. He is survived by a son, John Novak, and wife, Laurie; a daughter, Louise Kitselman, of Riverside; a brother, Ted Novak, and wife, Lena; two sisters, Pauline Mack and Ann Conroy; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., in Greenwich, on Dec. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Entombment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Greenwich.
