Cuts may be made in the school budget plan if recommendations made by the Greenwich Board of Estimate and Taxation budget committee are heeded.

The committee voted 3-1 on Wednesday to cut $500,000 from Greenwich Public School’s proposed $136,812,034 budget for the 2011-12 fiscal year. All recommendations are subject to vote by the town’s full finance board. If the cuts were approved, it would be up to school administration to decide what cuts would be made.
