Whole Foods Market, Greenwich Tree Conservancy Celebrate Earth Day

GREENWICH, CONN. – Whole Foods Market in Greenwich and the Greenwich Tree Conservancy are joining forces to celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, with a 5 percent donation from Whole Foods sales that day going to the conservancy.

The Greenwich Tree Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the planting and preservation of Greenwich’s trees and, since its founding in 2007, has planted almost 2,000 trees in town.

The conservancy is celebrating its eighth anniversary at its Tree Cocktail Party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at McArdles Garden Center on Arch Street in Greenwich. The public is invited. Ticket prices are as follows: 

  • Oak Tree Ticket: $1,000 per person
  • Chestnut Tree Ticket: $500 per person
  • Anniversary Tree Ticket: $375 per person (in honor of Greenwich's 375th Anniversary)
  • Walnut Tree Ticket: $250 per person
  • Hickory Tree Ticket: $125 per person
