The community chorus will present Antonio Vivaldi’s "Magnificat" in G Minor and the "Gloria" in D Major in concert on Sunday, Dec. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stamford.

David Gomez is the director, and Eric Trudel is the accompanist. The chorale rehearses at Atria, 77 Third St., Stamford, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. each Tuesday from September to May. No auditions are required.

Rehearsals are open to new members through September. Dues of $150 a semester include the cost of music.

The Stamford Chorale began as the New Canaan Community Glee Club in 1949 and later became The MasterSingers of Greater Stamford. In 2002, the group was reincorporated as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.

The chorale gives two concerts a year and performs at other community functions. Members come from Fairfield and Westchester counties.
