GREENWICH, CONN.-- The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will host youth basketball clinics Thursdays at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center starting Sept. 26 and ending Oct. 24.
The program is for children in grades 5-8 and specifically is designed to get your child ready for the upcoming basketball season.
Coach John Czarnecki will teach this program and has designed it to help the players learn the skills needed to shoot, pass, dribble and rebound, as well as how to play individual and team defense.
Fifth- and sixth-graders will work out from 4-5 p.m. while seventh- and eighth-graders will go from 5-6 p.m.
Registration will begin by mail only Sept. 9. In-person registration at the civic center begins Sept. 16 until sessions are full.
