This evening will be full of food, cocktails, networking and hammering.
Creatively named and attired teams of four will compete head to head in nail hammering relay races, encouraged by their (male and female) cheering sections.
Those who make it to the final round will be vying for the Golden Bedazzled Hammer, while other teams may win prizes for the most money raised, best team name or outfit and other awards for those less hammer proficient.
The organizers’ goal is to raise $50,000 or more toward the construction of a brand new home for a needy family in the county.
Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program encourages and empowers women to make a difference by building homes and communities. Locally, Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County’s (Habitat CFC’s) Women Build is a coalition of Fairfield County women who are addressing the community’s critical shortage of affordable housing by volunteering their time to raise funds for and build Habitat homes.
