Attention music lovers: Greek Soprano Eleni Calenos will perform solos from Poulen's "Gloria" at the Round Hill Community Church in Greenwich.
Calenos made her debut as Cio-Cio in "Madame Butterfly." The soloist was recently awarded the Gerda Lissner Foundation award and the Judges Award from the Connecticut Opera Guild 2009 Competition.
The performance is part of the War of the Romantics program, which focuses on the aesthetic battles between the supporters of the conservative Brahms, the radical Wagener and French composer Francis Poulenc. The concert will be held Sunday, March 27, at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, call 203-869-1091.
