GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Animal Control will be having a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The clinic will be at 393 North St., Greenwich. A one-year rabies vaccine is $20 per pet (cash or check). Three-year vaccines are available with written proof of prior vaccination.

Individuals presenting a state assistance ID card will receive a free vaccine for their own pet. Vaccines will be administered by Shelly Skopit, DVM of Park Animal Hospital in Norwalk and Darien. Dogs must be leashed and cats in carriers. All pets must be healthy.

The new 2015 Greenwich dog licenses will be registered at the shelter during this event, once the rabies vaccine has been administered. The cost is $19 per dog or $8 for a spayed or neutered dog (cash or checks made payable to the Town Of Greenwich).
