The Norwalk-based Pet Animal Welfare Society announced that Maryjane is now on the road to recovery, thanks in part to donations received after they shared her story earlier this week. Maryjane, who is less than three months old, had been hit by a car and taken in by PAWS. She was then taken to Silver Hill Animal Hospital, where it was determined that she would need to have her front left leg amputated.

PAWS said the surgery was quite expensive, and is still seeking donations to pay for the procedure as well as her recovery care.
