New York Pops, Music Director Steven Reinek Honor Greenwich Couple At Gala

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The New York Pops marks its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening on Monday, celebrating the work of music honorees Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall and corporate honoree Carrie and Ted Pryor, Greenwich Harbor Partners.

Serving as honorary co-chairs for the event are stars Matthew Broderick, Renée Fleming, Kelli O’Hara, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. 

The event begins at 7 p.m. with a concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring a lineup of guest artists under the baton of music director Steven Reineke.

The performance will highlight the Marshalls’ work on stage and screen. Queen Latifah joins the previously announced Broadway stars Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Sutton Foster, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelli O’Hara, Margo Seibert, James Snyder, and Rachel York. 

The gala concert will also feature students from The New York Pops’ Kids On Stage program in their Carnegie Hall debuts performing alongside the orchestra musicians, Children of Ronald McDonald House New York, and Camp Broadway Kids, led by artistic director Tony Parise and music director Christine Riley. 

Following the concert, a black tie dinner dance will be held at the elegant Mandarin Oriental New York. Carrie Pryor serves on the board of directors of The New York Pops, and her executive search firm, Greenwich Harbor Partners, has been consulting to the orchestra for several years.

Tickets to the full gala evening range from $1,250 (concert and dinner seating for one) to $50,000 (premier concert seating and dinner table for eight).
