Mother Nature Provides Relief

Sweating bullets once you step outside is just a memory. After heat advisories for days, the weather on Monday was picture-perfect. And Greenwich Point lifeguard Sarah MacDougall had the perfect perch from which to enjoy it.

MacDougall, an incoming freshman at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., said Greenwich Point was packed over the record-breaking weekend. Still, she expects the beach to be busy in the nicer weather.

Beach-goers were soaking up the sun, joggers enjoyed the summer breeze and sailors set sail for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. Mark Binvya, a Greenwich resident, took to his fishing pole this morning to catch Monday's dinner. "Fishing is my favorite hobby, said Binvya. "I only throw back the small ones. But I'll catch about five to six fish a day."
