Letter: School Board Hopeful Advocates for Kids

GREENWICH, Conn. - The following is a letter from Greenwich resident Brad Cohen in support of Board of Education candidate Anna Saras Povinelli:

Dear Editor,

The students of Greenwich Public Schools and the voters of Greenwich couldn’t be more fortunate to have Anna Saras Povinelli as a candidate for the Board of Education. Anna is a completely refreshing choice whose goal is to improve the academic performance for all the Greenwich Public Schools. Anna has been an outspoken advocate for our kids over the years.

Anna is one of us. She is a parent of four children, all in the public school system. Anna is involved in the PTAs of all of her children’s schools and has been from the beginning.   She is not afraid to speak her mind and pursue what is best for the students. She will return the focus of the Board of Education back to education and not get sidetracked with various agendas.

She is very intelligent to boot! She has a strong financial background and is the chief compliance officer of a hedge fund. She will use her analytic skills to understand the budget, highlighting areas of inefficiencies so that more of our dollars are spent directly on the students.

A vote for Anna Saras Povinelli is a vote for our children’s future.
