Learn to Write Mysteries at Greenwich Workshop

Do you have a whodunit in you waiting to be born on the page? If so, you might want to check out “Writing Killer Fiction: The Mystery Writer’s Craft,” a workshop on mystery writing to be taught by best-selling suspense novelist Jane K. Cleland.

On April 15, the Westport Writers’ Workshop is offering the three-hour tutorial on April 15. It will be taught at the Greenwich Arts Council and focus on characterization, plot and narrative flow.

Experienced and beginning writers alike are welcome to learn more about the art of writing a gripping “whodunit.”

The seminar follows the release of Cleland’s newest book, “Deadly Threads,” which will be available in hardcover on April 12. “Deadly Threads” tells the story of protagonist Josie Prescott’s hunt for the killer of a vintage clothing guest speaker.

Cleland is the author of the six books in the Josie Prescott Antiques Mystery series. She is also the chairwoman of the Wolfe Pack’s literary awards and a board member of the New York chapter of Mystery Writers of America.

The Greenwich Arts Council is located at 299 Greenwich Ave.  Registration is required, but limited. Admission is $125 or $105 for Westport Writers’ Workshop and Greenwich Arts Council members.

Cleland’s books will be available for purchase and signing. For more information, contact Cleland directly at jane@janecleland.com or call the Westport Writers’ Workshop at (203) 227-3250.
