Land Trust Offers Rides in the Sky

Hot air balloon rides, a petting zoo, an obstacle course and a hay maze will all be part of the Greenwich Land Trust's 11th annual Go Wild! family field day.

The nonprofit organization is dedicated to protecting and keeping Greenwich land in its natural state. The trust protects more than 700 acres on more than 130 properties. Some pieces of land include Shell Island, Fisher Field and the 94-acre Treetops Preserve along the Greenwich/Stamford border.

The event will feature a birds of prey exhibit, games, live Blue Grass music and tasty treats. Four items will be raffled: a safari trip for two donated by the African Portfolio of Old Greenwich, a Bermuda getaway to Tucker's Point Hotel & Spa, a New England vacation at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, R.I., and a year's supply of orchid plants from Greenwich Orchids.

Tickets can be purchased in advanced at www.gltrust.org or call 203-629-2151.
