Summer is making a splashy entrance with a three-day heat wave. By noon Tuesday., temperatures reached 91 degrees at Greenwich Point, making it a perfect day to spend on the beach. A quick downpour couldn't ruin the whole day.
"The beach is where to spend your day," said Amanda Monteferrante, a sophomore at Greenwich High School. "We got here around 10 a.m. and we don't plan on leaving until this afternoon."
With easy access to the beach, residents are able to hit the beach by foot and by car or bike, "A lot of us ride our bikes here," said Emma Sachs, a sophomore at Greenwich High School. "It's so easy for us and it's a nice day out."
