Come for an extensive guided nature walk through a combined Audubon and land trust trail system. This 3-mile hike will span a variety of habitats, including a red maple swamp, several meadows, a lake and hillside forests.
Visitors will hike some of the highest terrain in Greenwich and see an array of plants and wildlife while the Greenwich Land Trust staff points out ecological and geological features of interest.
The terrain is moderately technical with some steep and rocky sections. Bring sturdy shoes, a bottle of water and protection from the sun and insects.
Meet at the Audubon Greenwich Center parking lot off Riversville Road.
The event is free. Preregistration is recommended. Email michelle@gltrust.org for more information or visit the Greenwich Land Trust website.
