Jeanne Bennet moved to town in 1992 and has been involved in the community ever since. She's been involved with the Junior League, YWCA and Bruce Museum. Her son, Addison, is a junior at Brunswick school. She and her husband, John, a banker, have two pugs called Pugsley and Captain.
When Jeanne is preparing a dinner party at home, she visits Horseneck Wines & Liquors for expert advice on wines to compliment the menu. One of her favorite dishes is salmon, either grilled or baked in the oven with maple syrup and soy sauce. Jeanne loves to serve a pinot noir and one of her favorites is Veranda from Chile.
For white wine, Jeanne likes Joel Gott Chardonnay from California. But if the weather turns hot and steamy again, she'll choose a light and crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux or a glass of the finest Rose Champagne from France.
Jeanne has attended a number of Horseneck events and enjoys learning about wines and good food. Jeanne loves Jean Louis, La Panatiere, L'escale, Thomas Henkelmann, Rebecca's and Morello's, all wonderful restaurants in our area.
