Breaking News: Greenwich Police Respond To Two Separate Hit-And-Run Incidents

Helen Fletcher, 85, Longtime Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. – Helen Zieba Fletcher of Greenwich died May 14. She was 85.

She was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Greenwich to John and Nellie Poplaski Zieba. Fletcher worked at the Greenwich Board of Education for many years. She also volunteered at Christ Church and developed Camp Sunbeam.

Fletcher is survived by a son, Harold G. Fletcher Jr.; three daughters, Claudia DeVita, Allyson Halm and Tracey McGuiness, all of Stamford; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Christ Church in Greenwich on Friday at 11 a.m. Fred D. Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to Adopt-A-Dog in Greenwich.
